März 2009 – Electronic Arts, Harmonix und MTV Games präsentieren das erste „Get the Funk Out“-Pack mit der Average White Band, Earth, Wind & Fire und dem Godfather of Soul himself, James Brown. Ebenso beinhaltet das neue Lineup Rock-Künstler wie Against Me!, The New Pornographers und Papa Roach.
